Here’s a sample four-month SAT preparation plan using Atenu’s free SAT Reading and Writing (RW) and Math courses. While this plan provides a structured approach, remember that everyone’s preparation process may differ based on individual needs and schedules. Feel free to adjust as necessary to best suit your situation.

 

Month 1: Math + RW: Foundations

  • Week 1:

    • Begin with Unit 1, Lesson 1 “About the Digital SAT” for both Reading and Writing and Math.
    • Create a College Board account and download Bluebook™.
    • Take practice test 1 on the Bluebook app.
    • Analyze your test results and note any recurring patterns or areas of improvement.
  • Week 2:

    • Complete Math Unit 2: Foundations: Algebra (including Unit test).
    • Start RW Foundations lessons focusing on Command of Evidence and Central Ideas.
  • Week 3:

    • Progress to Math Unit 3: Foundations: Problem solving and data analysis.
    • Continue with RW Foundations lessons on Words in Context and Text Structure.
  • Week 4+:

    • Conclude Math Foundations with Units 4 and 5, covering Advanced math and Geometry and trigonometry.
    • Complete remaining RW Foundations lessons and take the Foundations Unit test.

 

Month 2: Math + RW: Medium

  • Week 1:

    • Take practice test 2 on the Bluebook app.
    • Analyze your progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Week 2:

    • Dive into Math Unit 6: Medium: Algebra.
    • Proceed with RW Medium lessons on Command of Evidence and Central Ideas.
  • Week 3:

    • Advance through Math Unit 7: Medium: Problem solving and data analysis.
    • Continue with RW Medium lessons focusing on Words in Context and Text Structure.
  • Week 4+:

    • Complete Math Medium Units 8 and 9, covering Advanced math and Geometry and trigonometry.
    • Finish RW Medium lessons and take the Unit 3 test.

 

Month 3: Math + RW: Advanced

  • Week 1:

    • Take practice test 3 on the Bluebook app.
    • Assess your performance and refine your study strategy.
  • Week 2:

    • Engage in Math Unit 10: Advanced: Algebra.
    • Progress with RW Advanced lessons on Command of Evidence and Central Ideas.
  • Week 3:

    • Proceed with Math Unit 11: Advanced: Problem solving and data analysis.
    • Continue RW Advanced lessons focusing on Words in Context and Text Structure.
  • Week 4+:

    • Complete Math Advanced Units 12 and 13, covering Advanced math and Geometry and trigonometry.
    • Conclude RW Advanced lessons and take the Unit 4 test.

 

Month 4: Targeted Practice and Mastery

  • Week 1:
    • Take the RW Course Challenge and review areas of difficulty.
  • Week 2:
    • Take the Math Course Challenge and address weak areas.
  • Week 3:
    • Engage in more targeted practice in both Math and RW, aiming for mastery.
  • Week 4+ (one to two weeks before your practice test):
    • Take practice test 4 on the Bluebook app.
    • Review your progress and celebrate how far you’ve come!
